Craftsman Copper is the studio of master coppersmith James Davies. Since beginning his career in 1994 and opening his own studio in, 2005 James has been forging some of the most beautifully designed and meticulously finished American Arts and Crafts lighting pieces since the style’s early 1900’s beginnings.
Craftsman Copper specializes in recreating and expanding upon the aesthetics and design of the hand hammered hollowware lighting popularized by Dirk Van Erp and his contemporaries. All the processes and methods of the original craftsmen from the early 20th century are faithfully adhered to within the walls of our studio. Drawing from a century of solid and gorgeous designs by artists such as Harvey Ellis, August Tiesselinck, and Karl Kipp to name a few, Craftsman Copper can recreate nearly any early design for you, or design and forge something truly unique to adorn your home with.
