Regardless where you live, September is shaping up as a busy Arts & Crafts month!
We'll be providing in-depth coverage on several events in the coming days, but here is a quick overview of what's going to be happening:
The Midwest
The 12th annual Twin Cities Arts & Crafts Show and Sale will be taking place in St. Paul on September 24-25. This two-day show features a wide variety of both Arts & Crafts antiques and new works in the Arts & Crafts style (www.twincitiesartsandcraftsshow.com).
John Toomey and Don Treadway's 20th Century Art and Design auction will be held September 18 at John Toomey's Gallery in Oak Park, IL. Check out their offerings in the coming days at http://www.TreadwayGallery.com.
Also on September 18th, the Villa, a century-old Historic District neighborhood on Chicago's Northwest Side characterized by parkway streets, stone planters and distinctive examples of early Arts & Crafts residential architecture, will host their annual walking tours (http://www.TheVillaChicago.com).
The 10th annual Handmade Tile Association Festival will take place September 17 in Minneapolis (www.handmadetileassociation.org). It follows the American Pottery Festival that takes place September 9-11, also in Minneapolis (www.northernclaycenter.org).
The 3rd Annual Columbus Pottery Show & Auction will be held in Columbus, OH on September 30-October 2 (www.columbuspottery.com).
Further West
The 13th Annual Denver Arts & Crafts Conference takes place in Denver from September 21-25. (www.artinitiatives.com).
The ongoing exhibition "Archibald Knox and Liberty & Co." in Denver will close on October 2 (www.kirklandmuseum.org).
The 14th Annual Historic Seattle Bungalow Fair takes place in Seattle on September 24-25 (www.historicseattle.org).
The Ravenna "Home Sweet Bungalow" tour takes place in Seattle from September 24-25 (www.brownpapertickets.com).
The 15th Annual Oxnard Autumn Home Tour in Oxnard, CA will be September 25 (www.OxnardHistoricDistrict.com).
The exhibition "Gustav Stickley and the American Arts & Crafts Movement" currently in San Diego, CA closes September 11 (www.sdmart.org).
East Coast
A Frank Lloyd Wright Conference entitled "Art, Craft, Modernism and Frank Lloyd Wright on the East Coast" is taking place in Philadelphia on September 21-25 (www.savewright.org).
