20th Century Design Seminar by Skinner Auctions held in Boston

 

Have you ever wondered about how one would go about properly putting on an auction? How about the importance of the appraisal process? Or even if you were ever curious about the pottery studio movement and the benefits of introducing pottery into your life? These series of seminars will be up your alley.

The Appraisers Association of America and Skinner Auctions are holding a tour of Skinner gallery, a preview of their upcoming 20th Century Design Auction, and an afternoon seminar with VP and Director of 20th Century Design Jane Prentiss. The event will be on June 18th, 2018 from 2:00 pm – 4:00pm at the Skinner Gallery in Boston. Prentiss will be presenting on the following topics:

 

  • The process of how an auction comes together.
  • The importance of materials in the appraisal process.
  • The Studio Pottery Movement and how to bring functional pottery into your daily living.
