AcStickley Arts and Crafts Auction Results

 

The AcStickley Arts & Crafts Auction was held this past Saturday, December 8th 11am PST along with a preview of the special event held this past Friday, December 7th — put on by California Historical Design and Gust Bostrom. Plenty of items were featured, including ceramics, jewelry, and Arts & Crafts furniture by Gustav Stickley, L&JG Stickley, Stickley Brothers, Charles Stickley, Limbert, Roycroft, Lifetime, Lakeside, JM Young, Mathews Furniture Shop, Bernard Maybeck, Karpen, Harden, Michigan Chair Co, McHugh and more. Jewelry, pottery, prints and furniture lots were sold to bidders in person and online.

Lot #98:

Rare Old Mission Kopper Kraft Eucalyptus Bowl & Stand.

This is the only OMKK bowl and stand set we have ever seen. Large Old Mission Kopper Kraft hammered copper bowl and stand with applied bronze eucalyptus leaves c1922-1925. Signed with both impressed mark and original paper label. Pristine original patina. Although the OMKK bowls with eucalyptus leaves do occasionally surface, this is the first variation of these we have seen with a separate base. 8.75″h x 8.25″d

Lot #171:

Charles Frederick Eaton Jewelry Chest (c1906)

Featured in a 1906 article in House & Garden Magazine written by Katherine Louise Smith (also wrote for Gustav Stickley’s Craftsman Magazine). One of only 2 known examples of this jewelry box. Made of “buff suede, brass trimmings inset with abalone, cut like stones.” Unsigned. Small loss to leather under front rim. Excellent original patina. 8.75″w x 6″d x 6.75″h (+ handle)
